This BC salmon fishing and halibut fishing paradise is between the world renowned kayaking and fishing grounds of the Brooks Peninsula to the North and Esperanza Inlet / Nootka Sound to the South.
The West coast of Vancouver Island is very remote, which is why it is still one of the best places on earth to catch trophy sized Chinook salmon (Kings), Coho (Silvers) and other species of wild Pacific salmon. You will require either seaplane or water taxi to get here.

The coves and inlets of the west coast of Vancouver Island, and the waters of the Brooks Peninsula in particular, are well known as a sea kayaking haven.
Brooks Peninsula Provincial Park is a 14 km (9 mile) finger of land that juts out into the Pacific Ocean on the West coast of Vancouver Island, Northwest of Kyuquot.
This unique peninsula the only part of Vancouver Island to escape the glaciers and it is home to plant species found nowhere else on earth.
