Access to Kyuquot Sound is by seaplane or water taxi. This means there are just a few dedicated salmon fishing anglers scattered throughout the bays and inlets in the Sound, with more than enough big fish to go around.

BC salmon fishing guide Leo Jack has been living in Kyuquot Sound on the coast of Vancouver Island since 1962 and has been a fisherman all his life. He knows the waters of Kyuquot Sound like the back of his hand and will lead you to great salmon fishing spots along with the best halibut fishing holes!

All Voyager fishing charters include the fishing boat (22 foot covered cruiser), experienced fishing guides, fuel, bait, tackle and packaging of your salmon and halibut for the trip home.

Kayak Fishing - Have You Tried it Yet?

Salmon fishing from a kayak in July and August can be a real thrill if you are looking for something different. Kayak fishing gives you a chance to get up close and personal with the hard fighting salmon as well as the marine birds and mammals of Kyuquot Sound, including Bald Eagles, Marbled Murrelets, Sea Otters and, on occasion, whales.

Until our new Vancouver Island fishing lodge and hotel is complete in 2008, Voyager Sportfish Charters will arrange fishing charter accommodations in Kyuquot Sound for you and your group - just contact us for details. Our new saltwater fishing lodge and hotel will be open year-round starting in the spring of 2008, offering rustic but comfortable accommodation for up to 18 guests in 9 rooms.
